With 2021 coming to an end, it’s time to sit back and reflect upon the year gone by. For readers, it’s time to look back at all the books they read and the ones which stayed with them for a reason. Bestselling Indian author Preeti Shenoy recently took to Twitter where she asked her followers to share the best book they read in 2021 and, owing to her social media popularity, quite a few readers replied to her question.

Author Kiran Manral replied with not one but five books that she enjoyed reading this year. “I did enjoy ‘The Magic Mindset’ (by Preeti Shenoy). Now enjoying ‘Lahore’ by Manreet Sodhi Someshwar. ‘Legal Fiction’ by Chandan Pandey. ‘The Earthspinner’ by Anuradha Roy. ‘Kunti’ by Koral Dasgupta. I’m sure there are more, they’ll come to mind in a bit,” Kiran tweeted.

Intel India’s MD, Prakash Mallya shared, “Those I really enjoyed reading this year – ‘Atomic Habits’ by James Clear, ‘My Life in Full’ by Indra Nooyi, ‘Psychology of Money’ by Morgan Housel, ‘Influence’ by Robert Cialdini, and ‘Barca- The inside Story of the World’s Greatest Football Club’ by Kuper Simon.”

Meanwhile, novelist Chandan Pandey tweeted, “Not really enjoyed but actually was horrified after reading ‘Moments of Silence: The Unforgetting of the October 6, 1976, Massacre in Bangkok’ by Thongchai Winichakul.”

As people shared their favourite books of 2021, Preeti also replied to a few readers sharing her own opinions about the books. When Twitter user Blogging With Ritz said that she liked reading Khaled Hussani’s ‘A Thousand Splendid Suns’, Preeti said that she loved reading the book too. And responding to Mili Lal’s best book of 2021 being ‘1Q84’ by Haruki Murakami, Preeti shared that she loved Murakami’s works.
