Mashiur Rahman won a prize of Tk 2 lakh for fishing

A individual has won a prize of Tk 200,000 by taking portion in a competition in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria and catching enormous catla angle. On Friday, a day-long angling competition was held at Diresh Dighi in Kolejpara of Kalikachh Union of the upazila.

Fancy angler Mashiur Rahman (50) won the primary prize of Tk 2 lakh by catching catla angle weighing 4 kg 350 g. He is the previous chairman of Ramrail Union Parishad of Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila. Yasin Mia of Munsefpara in Brahmanbaria came moment after catching catla angle weighing 3 kg 905 g. He got 1 lakh rupees. Shitosh Biswas of Kazipara within the same city came third by catching catla angle weighing 3 kg 435 grams. He gotten 50 thousand rupees as a reward.

The competition is organized by an organization called Kalikachchh Companion Welfare Fisheries Extend. Parts of onlookers accumulated around the lake to observe the angling competition. The competition was conducted by a neighborhood named Ratan Box. He said angling competitions are organized in four dighis of the upazila each year. This competition was organized as a portion of this.

It is learned that the competition was held on Friday from 6 am to 6 pm. 30 novice anglers took portion in it. Separated from different upazilas of Brahmanbaria locale, they have come from Habiganj, Narsingdi and Mymensingh areas. For this, each hopeful had to store Rs 22,000. There were 6 prizes of 4 lakh 69 thousand rupees for the hopefuls.
