Chinese President warns of Cold War

Chinese President Xi Jinping has warned of a return to the Cold War in the Asia-Pacific region. He warned on Thursday that the Corona epidemic was on the rise and called for greater co-operation in tackling climate change. News AFP.

The Chinese president stressed the need for joint efforts to eliminate inequality in vaccination by making vaccines more accessible to developing countries.
New Zealand is the host country of the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation Conference. Xi Jinping, a virtual participant in the conference, said specific steps were needed to ensure a fair distribution of vaccines to everyone in the world.
