Two youths were killed in a collision between two motorcycles in Panchagarh

Two youths were killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Panchagarh. Two others were injured in the incident. The accident took place at Jagdal-Thutapakhuri area of ​​Panchagarh-Banglabandha highway in Sadar upazila on Saturday noon.

The deceased were identified as Rifaduzzaman Babu, 24, son of Hamidur Rahman of Goabari area of ​​Tirnuhat union of Tentulia upazila and Rashedul Islam, 28, son of Afzal Hossain of Bodapara area of ​​Amarkhana union of Sadar upazila. One of the injured has been shifted to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital as his condition is critical.

According to police and local sources, this afternoon Rashedul Islam with his neighbor Shahin Hossain in the Amarkhana UP election Awami League nominated chairman candidate. Nuruzzaman was going to Panchagarh city to take part in the motorcycle procession.

Meanwhile, Rifaduzzaman and Rony were going to Tentulia Upazila on a motorcycle. At that time, the two motorcycles collided head-on when they reached Jagdal-Thutapakhuri area of ​​the highway. Rashedul Islam and Rifaduzzaman Babu died on the spot.

Upon receiving the news, members of Panchagarh Fire Service rescued Shahin and Rony from the spot in critical condition and took them to Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital. Later, when Shahin Hossain’s condition deteriorated there, doctors shifted him to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital.

Panchagarh Sadar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Latif Miah said the bodies of the victims were handed over to the two families as there were no complaints from their families.
