Announcing her wedding on social media, Malala had shared, “Today marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead.” Asser reportedly works as a senior office with the Pakistan Cricket Board. Wishing Malala with a heartwarming note, Priyanka Chopra had penned, “Congratulations! Wish you so much joy and happiness. You are an absolute vision.”
All of 15, Malala campaigned for girls’ education in Pakistan in 2012. She survived an assassination attempt and shifted to UK with her family. She was awarded with the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize at the age of 17 for her contributions to and struggle for promoting education for children. Last year Malala graduated from Oxford University.
