What will you do when you not just meet your favourite star but also get a chance to work with him and learn the little things that will one day boost your career? Well, Darshana Banik couldn’t thank her fate enough when she first heard that she will be acting opposite south star Nagarjuna in the Telugu film ‘Bangaraju’.

The chirpy actress is also overwhelmed to see how Nagarjuna maintains a disciplined life and follows a strict diet. She says during the shoot Naga sir had told her that he has watched ‘Pather Panchali’ many times and is well aware of the greats like Satyajit Ray, Ritwik Ghatak, Mrinal Sen and others. He also has a sweet taste for Bengal’s mishti doi, rosogolla and ilish maachh. So, Darshana has decided when she meets the South superstar again she will gift these to him. Nagarjuna has another interesting Bengal connection as he’s married to Amala Mukherjee.

The actress also revealed Nagarjuna is so down to earth and energetic on the sets that it’s a lesson to any newcomer. The way he speaks to the crew is something everyone should learn. He is also extremely punctual and even rehearses every scene before the final take even after all these years of experience.

‘Bangarraju’ is being directed by Kalyan Krishna. Besides Nagarjuna, the film will also see Naga Chaitanya, Kriti Shetty and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles. It is touted to be a prequel to Nagarjuna’s 2016 film ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’. Darshana will be playing the role of apsara Urvashi.
