An 80-year-old man was killed when a freight train hit him at the airport railway station. His name was not known till 6:30 pm on Tuesday.
Airport Railway Police Outpost Assistant Sub-Inspector confirmed the information. Saqlain. He said eyewitnesses saw the old man walking carelessly along the railway line on Tuesday morning. He died on the spot when a freight train coming from Dhaka hit him.
Md. Saqlain said the body of the deceased was kept in the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital after autopsy. Law enforcement is trying to find out his identity. He said, “The old man was wearing a white half-sleeved vest and green checkered lungi.”
