According to the official announcement, all types of educational institutions from primary to higher secondary will open today, but at the beginning, there will be daily classes for SSC and HSC candidates and fifth grade students of primary. Students in other classes have to take classes one day a week. At the secondary level, there will be a maximum of two classes on the day of the class. Primary will have three classes a day. Physical classes will be closed at pre-primary level.
Responding to a question from reporters, the education minister said if the situation is favorable, the eighth Junior School Certificate (JSC) examination could be held. In this regard, he said, the eighth grade is now physically a class a week, but has been taught online, TV and through assignments.
Journalists were questioning whether the current academic year would be extended by a couple of months as per the advice of academics as there was a shortage of teaching students due to the long shutdown. In reply, the Education Minister said that necessary steps will be taken in this regard after assessing the shortcomings or the extent of them.
The education minister requested the parents not to crowd outside the gate while the educational institution is running.
