On Tuesday, actress Nushrratt Bharuccha finally dropped the much awaited trailer of her upcoming horror film ‘Chhorii’ ahead of its release on the OTT platform. Promising a fresh take on horror, she wrote, “You can’t run. You can’t hide. She will find you. #Chhorii Trailer Out Now!”

In the trailer, Nushrratt is an eight-month pregnant, Sakshi who is seen running away to a secluded rural location surrounded by tall grass so that no one can find her. However, in a strange turn of events, she starts becoming the target of all things paranormal. The story unfolds her journey as she is haunted by a ghost who is also seen as pregnant.

Nushrratt, who plays a pregnant woman in the film, started her prep before commencing the shoot by wearing the ‘pregnant’ body suit for three weeks. She said, “As I’m not actually going to become pregnant for now in reality, I had them make that body suit for me to feel what a woman bearing child actually goes through. I was wearing it 20-25 days before the film’s shoot started, and literally did all of my chores including eating, sleeping, going to the bathroom, roaming around and everything else to understand the restrictions that it comes with.”

She added, “I had to put myself in it to be able to self-learn everything that’s related to pregnancy, and then bring them on set with a more realistic facet that the masses can connect to. Though, it wasn’t a prop for me but a part of me, I became so used to it that when the shooting began, I felt more comfortable while resting in between the rehearsals in the body suit.”

Helmed by Vishal Furia, ‘Chhorii’ is slated to stream on the OTT platform on November 26.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Nushrratt has several interesting projects back-to-back, besides ‘Chhorii’. This includes, ‘Hurdang’, ‘Janhit Mein Jaari‘, ‘Ram Setu’ and an unnamed project.

A source close to the actor shared, “Nushrratt is slowly and steadily climbing the steps of Bollywood in terms of success. First of all the actress has a very bubbly and vivacious nature which the audiences can relate to. The actress’s choice of films and production houses to work with have also been great so far which has helped her grow. Even in the coming months, the actress has some great films lined up which will only make her case stronger for being roped in by many more brands and magazines as her career graph continues to rise.”
