Jeetendra might no longer be gracing the silver screen but he has been one of the biggest superstars we have had in the industry and he continues to be one.

The veteran actor, who delivered multiple hits during his days, had reportedly suffered a massive loss after his film, ‘Deedar-E-Yaar’ tanked at the box-office. However, tables turned after he bagged ‘Himmatwala’ opposite Sridevi and it turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of his career. The two went on to work in 16 films thereafter, 13 of which were successes. So much so that Jeetendra used to reportedly call Sridevi and Jaya Prada his bread and butter.

Although Sridevi garnered a lot of praise for ‘Himmatwala’, she reportedly called it her bad luck. In a throwback interview with PTI, the late iconic actress had said, “In Tamil films, they love to see me act naturally. But in Hindi films they want a lot of glamour, richness and masala. My bad luck was that my first big hit in Hindi films turned out to be a commercial one.”

Jeetendra is currently enjoying the bliss of being a grandfather of his grandkids. Both his kids Tusshar and Ekta have had kids through surrogacy. They remain unmarried to date. While Tusshar’s son is named Laksshya, Ekta’s son has been named Ravie.
