Ranveer couldn’t be a cricketer in real life, but he will live the dream as an actor. He is set to essay Kapil Dev in ’83, which is based on India’s victory during the iconic world cup championship. The trailer is being showered with love from fans and celebrities. His real life wife, Deepika Padukone, will essay his reel life partner in this sports drama. Directed by Kabir Khan, ’83 is slated for release on December 24 and will bank on the Christmas holiday weekend.

After’83, Ranveer will be seen in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cirkus’. Speaking about his lead actor, Rohit had recently told ETimes, “Ranveer is a fabulous actor and is like my brother; we have mutual respect and love for each other. He is a great guy and a complete actor. He can do a ‘Lootera’ can also play Simmba and Bajirao. He is a fabulous actor of our generation.” Ranveer Singh also has ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ and ‘Jayebhai Jordaar’ in the pipeline.
