On Saturday morning, Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan walked out of the Arthur Road jail after his lawyers completed the formalities. But the other two accused, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were unable to leave the jail premises due to incomplete formalities. According to the latest reports, model Munmun has been released from jail after her lawyer completed the entire process.

Arbaaz and Munmun were granted bail by the Bombay High court along with Aryan. Aryan’s bail surety was signed by SRK’s dear friend and actress Juhi Chawla. She signed a bond of Rs. 1 lakh. He was asked to submit his passport before the Special Court and told that he cannot leave the country without prior permission from the Special Judge for NDPS at Greater Mumbai. Every Friday, Aryan Khan will have to appear before the NCB at their Mumbai office. Aryan Khan has also been asked not to communicate with any co-accused involved directly or indirectly in similar activities.

On the other hand, Arbaaz and Munmun’s families brought seven people each to stand surety for Rs 15,000 each. For MP-based Dhamecha, it was her brother, relatives and friends; Merchant’s sureties included his mother, brother and others.

A lawyer told TOI that for a surety of over Rs 15,000, one has to furnish a solvency certificate of immovable property worth that much or more. For surety of Rs 15,000 or less, income certificate, ration card and proof of residence is enough. The entire process started on Saturday morning with both the families trying to complete the procedure before the court. Dhamecha’s lawyer Ali Kaashif Khan said the procedure in court was completed only at 7.30 pm, two hours beyond the jail’s deadline. He further said that they managed to drop the release order in the box at 8.30 pm.

Aryan, Arbaaz and Munmun were arrested by the NCB on October 3 after they raided a cruise ship in Mumbai and busted a drug party.
