Social media is packed with mushy pictures from Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa’s romantic nuptials and Bollywood celebrities are showering the newlyweds with love. Ekta Kapoor too wished the couple on social media and also revealed why she had to skip the wedding.

“Due to my stomach issues (now 10 days right from delhi ) I cud not travel and be where this beautiful couple tied the knot but patraaa n raaaj, u both make me believe in love ! I cannot tell u both how happy I am! I rarely see love like u both have ! When raj talks about parra it makes me believe that love n happiness n caring is not transient! Best wishes u both,” wrote the filmmaker. She was previously in Delhi to receive the prestigious Padma Shri award.

Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa tied the knot at a luxurious resort in Chandigarh, in the presence of family and close friends. Announcing their wedding, Rajkummar had penned on Instagram, “Finally after 11 years of love, romance, friendship and fun, I got married to my everything today, my soulmate, my best friend, my family. Today there is no greater happiness for me than being called your husband @patralekhaa Here’s to forever .. and beyond.” Patralekha decked up in a gorgeous red saree for the wedding while Rajkummar looked dapper in a cream sherwani.
