ETimes was the first to tell you that Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal have been engaged in a secret roka ceremony on August 18 and we also confirmed that Vicky-Katrina are planning a wedding in December this year in Rajasthan.

A recent report in a news portal revealed why Vicky and Katrina have opted for a royal wedding at a fort resort in Rajasthan instead of an international destination wedding. According to it, Katrina and Vicky both have some interesting line-up of films up their sleeves. While Katrina has to finish the shooting of ‘Tiger 3’ with Salman Khan in 2022, Vicky has to kick-start the shooting of Sam Manekshaw’s biopic. So opting for an international destination for the wedding would have meant more days away from work which they apparently cannot factor in right now. The report also added that given the COVID-19 situation across the globe, they thought it would be best if they picked a destination in India itself.

Amid the wedding preparations, Katrina’s mother Suzanne Turquotte and sister Isabelle Kaif were also recently spotted visiting an ethnic wear store in the city.

ETimes has learned that the couple is already prepping up for their wedding ceremony that is scheduled for the first week of December. “Their wedding outfits are being designed by Sabyasachi. They are currently in the process of choosing fabrics for the same; Katrina has chosen a raw silk number for her ensemble, which is going to be a lehenga. The wedding will take place in November-December,” reveals the source.

Meanwhile, on the work front, apart from ‘Tiger 3’ with Salman and Emraan Hashmi, Katrina is also awaiting the release of her upcoming film, ‘Sooryavanshi’ co-starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role. She also has ‘Phone Bhoot’ with Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ali Abbas Zafar’s superhero series.

Vicky, on the other hand, has Karan Johar’s magnum opus, ‘Takht’ and Aditya Dhar’s ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’ co-starring Sara Ali Khan.
