After much hype around Kangana Ranaut‘s turn as an Air Force pilot in ‘Tejas’, the makers have finally announced their release date.

Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP announced on their official social media handle that the upcoming action flick will fly into theatres on Dussehra, 5th October 2022. The announcement came on Tuesday, which also commemorates Armed Forces Flag Day.

“Bringing to you the inspiring story of a woman who chose to rule the skies. An ode to the Indian Air Force, #Tejas releasing in a cinema near you on Dussehra, 5th October 2022,” read the official post.

‘Tejas’ is meant to inspire and make one feel proud of our brave soldiers as they face a number of challenges to keep our country safe. The film takes inspiration from the Indian Air Force’s landmark decision to become the country’s first defence force to induct women into combat roles in 2016.

Written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara ‘Tejas’ is being bankrolled by RSVP Movies, the production house that had also produced the blockbuster military drama ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’.

Interestingly, this film will now clash with Ranbir Kapoor‘s ‘Animal’ that is also slated to release on the festive weekend. Animal boasts of a stellar cast. The film is headlined by Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Parineeti Chopra.
