The trailer of Kabir Khan’s much-awaited film, ‘83’ is finally out and has been receiving positive reviews from the audience and the critics alike. Kapil Dev too recently revealed his family’s reaction to the same.

Talking to a news portal, the cricketer revealed that the trailer of the film received mixed reactions from his family members as they are not sure how much his wife ‘Romi Dev’s role is there in the movie. According to him, one do not realise what they are trying to do there.

Elaborating further, Kapil showered praise on Ranveer Singh’s performance in the film by calling him a ‘great actor’.

After the release of the trailer, Ranveer had taken to his social media handles to pen a heartfelt post. It read, ‘Thank you to movie fans all over the country and beyond, our film fraternity, the press… people from all walks of life and generations have appreciated the movie’s trailer, and we are filled with gratitude and gladness. This is not just a movie – it’s a glorious tribute to that moment in Indian history that changed it all! It’s about the great achievement of the Indian Cricket Team of 1983 – ‘Kapi’s Devils’! These men are legends, and it’s an honour to be a part of the cinematic telling of their iconic story on the big screen! ‘83 also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles. The film will hit the theatres on December 24.
