As the suspense surrounding Salman Khan‘s attendance at the much-hyped wedding of Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal grows with every passing minute, the superstar’s family is expected to attend the event. This comes just days after
Arpita Khan Sharma in a statement to ETimes, denied receiving an invitation to the wedding.

Katrina is very close to Salman and his sisters, Arpita and Alvira. IANS reported that the two sisters will now attend the wedding. While Arpita is expected to come along with her husband Ayush Sharma, Alvira is expected to attend the celebrations with hubby Atul Agnihotri.

When ETimes reached out to Arpita last week to know if the Khan family will be attending the royal Rajasthan wedding, she replied, “We are not invited so we won’t be going.”

The report claims that Katrina also wanted Salman’s parents – Salma and Saleem Khan, to attend the ceremony and shower her marriage, but they won’t be able to attend the event because of health concerns.

As far as Salman’s presence at the wedding goes, the actor’s concert tour coincides with the wedding celebrations. The actor is unlikely therefore to attend the function. Salman has flown to Riyadh with his head of security, Shera, who is reportedly monitoring the wedding security at the Six Senses Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan.

ETimes broke the news of Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s December wedding. We were also the first to confirm that the couple had booked Fort Barwara for their nuptials.

Katrina and Vicky’s wedding festivities commence today with sangeet, followed by mehendi on December 8 and the wedding on December 9. The couple will also host a reception on December 10.
