Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor will be seen sharing the screen space for the first time on screen in a film that is being directed by Luv Ranjan.

While the film has been one of the most awaited ones, the makers have been tight-lipped about Ranbir and Shraddha’s characters and the plot of the film. Now, according to a report in a news portal, Ranbir plays a relationship counsellor who is a breakup expert in Old Delhi. A source close to the project also informed the entertainment portal that Shraddha will be seen playing the role of a waitress. However, that has not been confirmed yet.

Elaborating further, the report added that Ranbir’s character falls in love with Shraddha’s character during a trip to Spain. He comes back, and makes her meet his eccentric parents played by Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia. However, Shraddha cannot stand his family and asks him for a breakup. How Ranbir tries to make her fall in love with his parents forms the crux of the story.

Boney Kapoor, who will be playing Ranbir’s father, was convinced by his real-life son Arjun Kapoor to play this role. The producer has always been behind the camera. Although he played a cameo in AK Vs AK, this will be his first full-fledged acting role.

On the work front, apart from this, Ranbir will soon be wrapping up the schedule of Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ with Alia Bhatt. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy in key roles.

He has also been roped in for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ co-starring Anil Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra and Bobby Deol in key roles.
