John Abraham starrer ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ is facing a negative impact of clashing with Salman Khan’s ‘Antim’. After a slow start on first day, the movie recorded a huge drop in several circuits across the country. According to Boxofficeindia.com, ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ earned Rs 1.85-2 crore nett range on it second day at the box office.

The film saw a drop of around 50 percent in collection from multiplexes of metro cities with Gujarat, CP Berar and Bihar circuits recording a drop of around 10-30 percent. ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ is expected to conclude its four-day weekend business with Rs 10 crore. Directed by Milap Zaveri, ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ has got a positive response from the Bihar circuit. The action entertainer has earned a total collection of Rs 4.85 crore in two days at the ticket windows.

‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ captures John fighting corruption in Lucknow with Divya Khosla Kumar as the leading lady. Speaking about the film releasing in theatres, John Abraham had shared, “I am very happy that cinemas have now re-opened even in Maharashtra and that audiences will be able to experience ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ in theatres. This film is meant for the big screen and for the masses, who have not been able to watch movies in theatres due to the pandemic. The response by all the exhibitors who saw the rushes has been encouraging, they are also looking forward to the film.”
