According to a report in BoxofficeIndia.com, the Milap Zaveri directorial collected over Rs 9.50 crore nett over the weekend. The film’s opening collection at the box-office was Rs 3 crore and it declined over Saturday and Sunday.
Ahead of the big clash, Salman and John were seen engaging happily on social media. After watching the trailer of ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’, Salman tweeted, “Very nice trailer, congrats and best wishes for release on 25th Nov”.
Replying to the same, John wrote, “Thank you @BeingSalmanKhan Means a lot coming from you. Wish you and Ayush all the very best for Antim.”
‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ is the sequel to a 2018 action film that starred John as the vigilante who kills corrupt police officers in order to cleanse the system. Speaking about the clash, director Mila Zaveri had told ETimes, “Both films will do well. In fact, all the films that are releasing in November will do well, as the audience is hungry and wants to watch films in cinemas”.
Apart from this, John will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathan’ which will reportedly mark Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback after three years of sabbatical. The movie will also star Deepika Padukone in a lead role.
