After grilling her on Thursday and Friday, the NCB has summoned the ‘Student of the Year 2’ actress for the third time today for questioning. The NCB had earlier reportedly seized her laptop and two mobile phones.
According to a report in India Today, NCB officials were unable to find evidence during their questioning of Ananya Panday on Friday and that is why she was summoned again on Monday.
The ongoing case took a turn for the worst recently on Sunday when an independent witness named Prabhakar Sail, the bodyguard of another witness in the case KP Gosavi, claimed that the latter had demanded a bribe of Rs 25 crore on behalf of NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede for the release of Aryan.
Sameer Wankhede has reportedly denied the allegation and has also written a letter to the Mumbai Police Commissioner seeking protection from precipitate legal action.
Aryan Khan, along with Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha among others was arrested in an alleged rave party on a Goa-bound luxury cruise in Mumbai by the NCB.
The star son, who was initially in NCB’s custody, has been sent to judicial custody. He is currently lodged in Arthur Road jail.
