‘Sooryavanshi’ box office collection: Akshay Kumar’s cop act rakes in Rs 138 crore | Hindi Movie News

Akshay Kumar has struck gold at the box office with his latest release ‘Sooryavanshi’, which has set the cash registers ringing out loud. Refusing to slow down, the mass entertainer recorded a growth of 50 per cent on Saturday. According to Boxofficeindia.com, the movie collected Rs 10.25 crore nett on Saturday, taking its nine day total to Rs 138.50 crore nett. The film has earned over Rs 60 crore from the Mumbai circuit and Gujarat has contributed over Rs 30 crore nett.

‘Sooryavanshi’ is expected to touch the 150 crore nett mark in ten days with Maharashtra and Gujarat showing a positive trend. It remains to be seen when the film will touch the coveted 200 crore nett mark. Apart from box office, the film is also expected to have got a massive digital deal. According to a news portal, ‘Sooryavanshi’ has struck a deal worth Rs 100 crore with a streaming platform and it will premiere on December 4.

‘Sooryavanshi’ stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead with Ajay Devgn as ‘Singham’ and Ranveer Singh as ‘Simmba’ essaying key cameos. Rohit Shetty was recently felicitated by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) in a special event hosted to celebrate the success of his film ‘Sooryavanshi’. Speaking about the film’s success, Rohit said, “Sooryavanashi is not my success alone, it is a success because of your blessings. We all will continue to work together. Thank you for your love and continue to shower your support on all our films. We all will stand together whenever any adversity comes.”
