Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’ is minting big money at the box office and looks like the movie has struck gold with its streaming deal. According to a news portal, this cop drama will air on a digital platform a month after its release and the makers have been paid a hefty 100 crore for the same. ‘Sooryavanshi’ will reportedly debut on OTT on December 4.

‘Sooryavanshi’ stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead with Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh essaying key cameos. This cop drama is directed by Rohit Shetty and is packed with his signature action and dialogues. ‘Sooryavanshi’ was ready for release in March 2020, just when the nationwide lockdown was announced. There were several rumours of the makers opting for a direct-to-digitl release, however their wait for a theatrical release has paid off.

The film is currently earning well at the box office and managed to enter the coveted 100 crore club in just five days of its release. ‘Sooryavanshi’ recorded a strong run on day eight as well and has reportedly earned Rs 6.75-7 crore nett region. The total earning of the film has touched around 127 crore nett. ‘Sooryavanshi’ is expected to touch the 150 crore nett mark at the end of its second week.
