A warm bowl of soup might bring comfort during winters but if consumed boiling hot, it might even burn your tongue. To cool down the soup, we often blow over it 3-4 times. This is considered to be bad manners.

Instead, gently take soup from the top layer of your bowl. Without dipping the spoon too deep into the bowl, just take soup from the surface. The top layer is usually cooler as it is in direct contact with air. This way, there is no need to blow over the soup and the soup too isn’t too hot.
