The Pantone Color Institute has been declaring its coveted ‘Color of the Year’ since 2000 and they just dropped the colour of the year 2022.

Twice a year the company hosts, a hush-hush meeting tabled by representatives from various nations’ colour standard groups and they come up with the colour of the year after much debate and this time around, the committee chose a colour to be the Pantone colour of the year 2022.

The company declared PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri as the colour for the upcoming year. The colour is a cross between violet and undertones of red. The company called it a new Pantone color whose courageous presence encourages personal inventiveness and creativity.
