Republic Day is around the corner and it is that time of the year when we celebrate to mark the date on which the democratic constitution of the country came into existence. Most of the institutions and organizations celebrate the day, and since we are stuck at home this time around, it’s time to flaunt the spirit of patriotism through your attire and makeup. The tricolor becomes the theme for our attire and to get it right it is important that you have the perfect makeup look to go with it. Makeup artist, Damini Chaturvedi shares an easy Republic Day makeup look to try out on this special day.

1. Coral blush- Since you will plan to wear the shades of tricolor, it is advisable that you do not overdo your blush in red or pink. Having the shades of green and saffron, having red or pink on the cheek is a big No No! For a subtle glow for your cheeks, use a coral blush. Or you can use a light orange blush to make the appearance extra thematic. If you completely want to sync in the colors of the tricolor, paint the tricolor flag on your cheeks and you are good to go! But in that case do not apply eye liner, a Kajal would be good! Let your cheeks take the focal point on the day.
2. Tricolor Nail Art- The simplest way of adding that patriotic flair is by getting a nail art that reflects the tricolor. It will subtly complement your look, and everyone will surely compliment you for this special patriotic gesture.
3. Eyeshadow- The key to have an eyeshadow with the three colors of the Indian flag is to blend them well. You will get the perfect look only if you blend the three shades well into each other. Also, do not forget to apply a concealer and foundation on your eyelids before you begin to apply the eyeshadow. Remember just like your face even the eyelids are a canvas that need to be prepared well before applying the shades of the tricolor.
4. Lipstick- If you do not want to work too hard on the eyeshadow, nail art or blush, it is best to go for a lipstick in either green or saffron. Wear a white attire and apply a green or saffron lipstick and you are good to go!
