My breakfast: I shifted my focus to sustainable eating habits that I could follow easily without giving up. I don’t believe in fad diets and hence I made sure the diet was customised according to my needs.

My breakfast included eggs (boiled, omelette, scrambled) along with some good sources of complex carbs and healthy fats like ghee, butter, cheese. I also had coconut water or watermelon in the morning to stay hydrated.

My lunch: For lunch, I had chapati made of Bajra, Jowar or multigrain (I avoided wheat altogether). Along with that, I had green vegetables, a bowl of salad and probiotics like curd, yogurt or buttermilk to increase the count of good gut bacteria and improve the digestion process.

My dinner: At night I used to have pulses and grains to maintain my daily protein intake level. During my weight loss journey, I never skipped a meal or tried to eat less. My mantra for weight was to eat right not to eat less and it helped me a lot.

Post-dinner if I craved dessert, I used to have homemade sugar free date balls covered with dark chocolate.
