A drone strike at an airport in Saudi Arabia has injured 10 people, including three Bangladeshis

The drone strike took place at King Abdullah Airport in the southern Saudi city of Jizan. It is learned that 10 people including 3 Bangladeshis were injured. The attack took place on Friday, local time. A spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition said. Reuters quoted the country’s state news agency SPA as saying.

Among the 10 injured are 3 Bangladeshis, 7 Saudis and 1 Sudanese. The spokesman said that several windows in front of the airport were damaged in yesterday’s attack.

Fighting has been raging in Yemen since 2015 between the government and Iranian-backed Houthi rebels. At that time, the Houthi rebels attacked the capital Sanaa and overthrew the government of Mansur Hadi. Later, in March 2015, the Saudi-led military alliance intervened militarily to bring the Hadi government back to power.
