The foreign ministers in their talks laid special emphasis on the national reconstruction of Afghanistan. At the same time, the country’s new ruling group called on the Taliban to form an inclusive government that would uphold the interests of all ethnic groups and political parties in Afghanistan. The Foreign Ministers also stressed the need for concerted efforts to prevent threats such as the spread of terrorism and drug trafficking in Afghanistan.

The foreign ministers expressed concern over the dangerous humanitarian, social and economic situation in Afghanistan and the threat of influx of refugees from there to neighboring countries. They also called for steps to be taken so that the people of Afghanistan can return to a peaceful life and revive the country’s economy.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan says the best way to establish peace and stability in Afghanistan is to work with the Taliban and encourage them to form an inclusive government and protect women’s rights.

We should give them proper instructions for that. ‘

According to Reuters, Russian President Vladimir Putin told a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on Friday that his country needed to work with the Taliban government. He made the remarks while attending a meeting in Dushanbe via video conference.

Putin also said that his country supports the convening of a UN conference on Afghanistan. In addition, the world powers should take action to release the money confiscated from Afghanistan.
