Reports have been rife that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be tying the knot in December this year. The couple has also kept themselves away from all their work commitments during that period.

While we are yet to get a confirmation or an official statement from the couple, Randhir Kapoor recently opened up about the same. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Randhir reportedly said that he doesn’t know anything about the same and he hasn’t heard the news either. The veteran actor added that Ranbir will be getting married someday or the other but he has no news on this.

Meanwhile, Alia’s mom Soni Razdan too has said she is unaware of any wedding dates being finalised stating that even she is waiting for some information.

According to reports, after ‘Brahmastra’, Ranbir was supposed to start shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’. The actor has now reportedly pushed the shooting schedule of the film to January 2022 owing to his impending wedding in December. The film will also feature Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Parineeti Chopra in key roles. Alia, on the other hand, will reportedly not be taking up any new work from the end of November and will be resuming her shoots in the Yew Year.

Ranbir, in an earlier interview with a news portal, had stated that he would have gotten married to Alia last year, had there been no pandemic. The couple has been dating for over three years now. They came out in the open about it after keeping it a secret for quite some time. Ever since then, they have been painting the town red with their love story.

On the work front, the couple will be seen sharing the screen space for the first time in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’. The film will also feature Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dimple Kapadia, and Mouni Roy in key roles.
