It was claimed that one of the NCB’s witnesses, Prabhakar Sail, allegedly used the profile of the man to create a fake identity named ‘Sam D’Souza’. D’Souza’s name had surfaced in connection with the transaction in the Aryan Khan case. A person named Hanique Bafna has filed a complaint in Palghar that he is getting calls about his connection with the drugs case. Bafna has sought help from the police in the matter.

Bafna had filed the complaint on October 25. He has said in his complaint that he started getting calls about his involvement in the drugs case after Sail named him in a video. Bafna claimed that her WhatsApp DP and old phone number were used as D’Souza’s number.

Sail had claimed about Sam D’Souza that he and Kiran Gosavi had made a deal for 25 crores for the release of Aryan Khan, son of actor Shahrukh Khan. Bafna said that he is upset that his name has been dragged into the case. He is a small businessman from Palghar. He said that his family has been doing a respectable business in Palghar for more than 50 years and they do not want his name to be linked in the drug case.

Sail, an aide of Gosavi, had said in the police complaint that out of Rs 18 crore for Aryan’s release, Rs 8 crore was to be given to NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede. He had said that Gosavi had given a bag worth Rs 38 lakh to the so-called D’Souza.
